Gamera The Brave Movie Review
Wiki Article
The finale of Revenge of Gamerathon is finally here, with a review of Gamera the Brave! This 2006 reinvention of the iconic Kaiju sought to recapture the glory days of Gamera movies being heavily geared towards younger audiences. As such, it was directed by Ryuta Tazaki, known for his work on Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, and the live action series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. This Gamera movie obviously is a lot more light-hearted, with intentionally over the top acting from the human characters (blog post) with questionable motives... and is not praised very much by the legions of Gamera fans, especially those fond of (blog) the Heisei series. However.. just how good is it? Or.. isn't science fiction movies it? - clarification: In the credits, Gamera the Brave is listed as owned by Toho. It was actually owned and distributed by Kadokawa Pictures.
